Promoting Plant-Based Living & Whole Food Health rooted in science, tradition, and faith, and sharing the off-beaten path Travel Guides.
I didn’t start with a business plan. I began with morogo, a Bible, and a strong belief. African people deserve better information
about their bodies. They also need better tools to earn income on their own terms.
I grew up in the mountains of the Zulu Kingdom. I enjoyed the foods my grandparents grew and cooked with pride.
Amadumbe. Cowpeas. Sorghum. Umngqusho.
Foods that scientists now spend millions studying in laboratories. Foods my family had mastered generations ago.
That childhood became the foundation of everything I build today.
Section 1 — When science caught up with the ancestors
As an adult, I began exploring nutrition studies. I looked at clinical trials, microbiome research, and fibre data.
I kept discovering the same thing: the foods I grew up with were, by all measures, amazing. High in resistant starch.
Gut-protective. Anti-inflammatory.
Blood sugar stabilising.
That research led to EatingPlantBasedZA. I created this brand. It makes plant-based nutrition easy for South Africans. It shares clear, evidence-based info. Not American kale bowls. Not European superfoods. African staples, backed by science, explained in plain language.
I’ve written and published some books.
They focus on gut health, plant-based nutrition, and whole-food living. You can find them on Amazon. They’re for anyone who wants to reclaim their health while keeping their food heritage.
Section 2 — What Kingdom principles taught me about building
My faith isn’t a footnote. It’s the operating system.
We are stewards of our bodies, minds, and resources. This idea shapes everything I create.
The patience to research deeply before publishing. The discipline to write when the motivation isn’t there. The courage to publish books in a market that wasn’t built for African voices.
I follow biblical principles in my business. Stewardship and diligence are key. I plan for future generations, not just this quarter.
Section 3 — How I discovered that knowledge could pay
A few years after starting EatingPlantBasedZA, I made a big change. I turned my research into a book and uploaded it to Amazon KDP.
No publisher. No agent. No platform of thousands. Just a manuscript, a cover, and a category selection.
The books sold.
Not overnight — but steadily, month after month, to people I hadn’t met in countries I hadn’t visited.
That first royalty statement showed me an important truth. Knowledge created once can keep earning forever.
I’ve been building that system since then. I publish books, create digital toolkits, and document all I learn. I help African professionals use KDP publishing to earn real, scalable income.
You can find the documentation in The Wealth Lab. It’s also in each Sunday edition of the Sovereign Living Digest.
Section 4 — The sovereign living mission
I operate at the intersection of three convictions:
Sovereign health — your body is yours to understand and nourish. African food is not inferior cuisine. It is ancestral precision nutrition, and it deserves to be treated as such.
Sovereign mind — you don’t need anyone’s permission to think for yourself. You can create your own systems and live by principles that are true to you, not just what others sell you.
Sovereign wealth is about earning money passively. You can do this with knowledge products. It’s a great way for African professionals to build wealth today. I’m building it publicly so you can see how you can do it, too.
